Snug and warm fleece hood for dogs that live in extreme cold climates like Canada, Alaska and the Northern US states. Also called a Head Muff, Ear Muff, Ear Warmer etc. Wind chill and freezing temperatures are hard on the dogs ears. A Fleece Snood can help keep the dog from getting cold or even frost bite on their sensitive ears when outside. Adjustable with two elastic drawstrings for the perfect fit.
Available in Black, Red and Orange in 6 sizes.
Measure your dogs head at the biggest point, right in front of the ears and go up a size for a comfortable fit.

Love the Alaskan Snood up here in Canada
Love the snood!! Bought an orange one for my dog (Lab X) as well as a black one for a friend's large Pittie. The measurement instruction was spot on and both dogs had no issue with trying AND keeping them on. 2 enthusiastic dewclaws up! haha

Best Snood for Extreme Winters
Sawyer is a min-pin mix with soft ears so knit hats (a few custom orders) would slide down his neck and serve as a scarf on his neck. This snood is super nice thick (double-sided) plush fleece so cozy warm PLUS cinching is what made it work for Sawyer. He gives no fuss wearing it and keeps him warm and prevents ear frostbite. Highly recommend esp. for short-haired dogs with soft ears. High quality, affordable item!

Good Protection
The snoods were purchased for winter in Lake Tahoe. The snood is ideal for our Maltese whether she's in a carrier or hand held since her exposed areas will now be protected from the cold. . Its also nice for our Golden Retriever. It will help protect his ears and neck from those snow balls! The sizing recommended by Euro Dog Design was correct.

Great Snood!
My girls ears are always cold so I wanted to get the best snood out there and I think I did! Didn’t want to get a knitted one because I wanted one more rugged. This is great because it’s adjustable and super warm! Thanks!

Baby It's Cold Outside
This is a seriously well-made Snood and I wish it came in my size (purple please)! My 24lb Boston Terrier wears a size 16 and it fits well without adjustments. It is snug without being tight and she doesn't try to remove it. Unlike other fleece fabrics, this Snood is unlikely to stretch out significantly or lose its shape. A great accessory for dogs prone to ear infections and those craving warm ears.

how long is the snood from th face to end at the neck? how far down the neck does it go. will it be long enough to tuck into a coat with shallow neck? I wish you would show a sideview of the snood, so we can see the shoulder and where the snood ends on the neck or body..

The bigger the size the longer the snood is.

Thank you for asking about the Alaska Fleece Snood. Katja has a Doberman and knows what it’s like to fit a dog with different dimensions.
We recommend going 1 size (2”) up for the snood, so if your dogs head measures 16” you’ll need size 18”.

The Snood is 2" bigger at the neck end than the head end, so it will accommodate the neck being a bit bigger in circumference than the head.

How to handle returns and exchanges
In case you order the wrong size or the product is just not what you wanted, you will need to return it.
(Please make sure you have adjusted/tightened the neckline on coats and overalls before deciding it's too big).
Here is what you need to do:
Email us at

letting us know why you want to return and what you need instead.
Make sure the item is in
new and unused condition with all tags attached and ALL hair removed
from coats after trying them on.
Add a note to your return package stating what you want instead, i.e. size/color or refund. Don't forget to include your name and order number.
Ship the product back to us at the below address:

Orders eligible for free shipping will also receive free exchange shipping (from warehouse to customer). All other orders will be charged for exchange shipping. Return shipping (from customer to warehouse) is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend having tracking and insurance on return packages in case it gets lost. Please DO NOT return packages by 'refusing it' as it will take a very long time to arrive, plus it won't be trackable. If you choose to do this anyway and the package is lost, we are without responsibility.
We ask you to return the item as quickly as possible, no later than 60 days after purchase. Refunds will NOT be given after 60 days.
Returns can take approx 2 working days to process from we receive them.
You are also more than welcome to place a new order for the item you want, and we will issue a refund for the return when we receive it.
Please ensure that the product you are returning is in NEW and UNUSED condition, including tags and packaging. All items MUST be clean and unused.
Please do not return coats full of dog hair after trying them on, or reeking of doggy odor or cigarette smoke.
You would not want to receive a coat looking or smelling like that, so please don't expect anyone else to. We will not accept any returns in less than re-sellable condition. Remove all the dog hair with a lint brush/roller or tape (Tape is the best to remove hair from fleece as the lint roller pulls on the fabric and doesn't pick up the hair). So basically, return the item as you received it. If we receive an item that is not hair free, we will charge a $15 fee per item for cleaning it. If we are not able to get all the hairs out, we will refund only half of the purchase price. The same goes for dirty items, only half of the purchase price will be refunded.
We recommend that the dog wears a t-shirt when trying on coats etc to avoid hair sticking to the item.
