    Description

These are the sizes left in the Waterproof Fleece Overalls. This suit has been discontinued but I still have many sizes left.
The Hurtta waterproof fleece overalls have top-of-the-line thermal insulation capacity. The garment is manufactured from two layers of fleece fabrics, with a laminated water- and windproof Houndtex® membrane placed in between. This four legged fleece suit provide efficient protection for your dog's muscles in situations where long-term exposure to cold cannot be avoided. The overalls are perfect for dogs that are active in any kind of weather, but who need some help keeping warm when it's really cold. Freeze and breeze are no match for this garment. The product protects all your dog's most important muscle groups. Comfortable to wear and the material makes no sound when the dog moves. The soft, ribbed collar and cuffs, and the waterproof zipper down the back, make the overalls easy to put on and comfortable to wear. Particularly suitable for dogs with no undercoat. The overalls have an adjustable neckline and waist for optimal adjustment and the best possible fit.
This item does NOT have an opening on the back to attach a leash to a harness!
Machine washable (gentle detergent and no softener).

    Post surgery and the cold
Our boxer, Freya, had two knee surgeries last year. As a result the cold of our Baltimore winter was causing her to limp during even short walks. The Hurta Fleece Overalls have made a huge difference as we can take our girls out for walks during the coldest days without limping. Our vet was very impressed with the design. Many folks have asked us where to get one for their own dog.

The product is great, but at the end of the day the cost was through the roof for a jacket. CALL CALL CALL before you order and read all the fine print everywhere on their website. I reside in Northern Canada and our Pit Bull has minimum hair, so I thought this was a good coat to keep her warm and toasty during those -30 winter days and I was right it does. But OMG the pain in the ass it took to get it was incredible. Like I said I live in Northern Canada, so I measured my dog up and added a couple inches to the size and still too small. So now the coat had to go back, so the $100 USA$ including shipping just went up to $120 with return shipping to them, then the $15 cleaning charge, (my dog didn’t even wear it because it was too small) and then the other $20 USA to Canada shipping, all set me back $155 green backs, convert that to Canucklehed currency and you’re looking at $2199 no just kidding, but really about $183, WOW what a nice surprise, but my dog is warm and lesson learned, CALL CALL CALL, first, and vacuum the things COMPLETELY for all your worth before you sent it back, maybe even look at it under a microscope so you don’t miss any dog fluff. Would I order another, maybe, but I would call three times to make sure the size was correct to the millimetre, and I would shop at the local pet stores here first.

Great for my older girl who loves to be warm
I ordered a couple pairs of these for my Dobermans. My older girl who loves to be warm absolutely loves these. She even likes to wear them in the house to keep her extra warm. They keep them nice and dry when they are outside playing in the snow and work perfectly to keep them warm while waiting their turn in their crates at agility training on cold winter days inside the barn.

I bought the Hurta fleece overalls for my 66 pound blue Doberman because she is pretty much hairless. When it is muddy outside she comes in covered in mud from her legs to her belly because she runs like mad chasing squirrels, birds, etc. These overalls keep all the mud off her and even repels some of the mud. It is a dream to put on and take off and I love it. Sage has no trouble doing her duty with it on and is still able to run fast after the critters.

    Nothing like them!
Nothing sissy about them on our mini schnauzer & they do the job beautifully. Purchased one size up as they run snug as noted on Euro's site. Shorter leg length is longer than one may think. Ready & waiting for our forecasted annual blizzard!

    Excellent Service
My vet suggested I purchase the fleece overalls for my german shepherd. She suffers from spondalosis and arthritis in her back and knees. We run daily in the bush in deep snow and I needed to keep those areas warm. The overalls are definitely high quality in material and workmanship. My girl actually seemed to enjoy wearing them. Very easy to put on and take off. My only complaint is in the sizing. Because Germam Shepherds are long in body the size I needed for her resulted in the legs been too long and I had to have all the legs shortened.

    Great Overalls
I ordered the Hurtta Waterproof Fleece Overalls for my male hairless Chinese Crested. The first pair were too big so I exchanged for a smaller pair. They are so nice and keep him so warm. He will go sit outside in the sun with these on even when the wind chill is down to zero. They are also great for walking in the freezing cold weather. I do not use them for ice and snow because his feet are exposed, but they could be. I really like the draw strings to tighten it around his neck and middle to keep the wind out. He doesn't mind putting them on since they zip up the back and don't have to go over his head. These overalls are really worth the money for my dog to warm and toasty.

    Fleece waterproof overalls
It was an extremely cold winter. I ordered these for my 90 lb Doberman and 35 lb Terrier mix. The overalls allowed my dogs to stay outside and play instead of just going potty and then whining to come inside because they were cold. Best winter wear for dogs!

    Snuggly
My first impression of this coat, is that it feels warm and it looks nice. I normally don't give reviews until a year or so after a purchase, because those reviews are generally more objective and have little to do with getting something new. However, my dog loves this coat. She gets excited when I put it on her and she actually seems to be happy having it on. It has kept her warm on 30 degree days and she has not over heated. As I like the look, the function and quality of this coat upon I will give it an initial five stars. If you do another survey after a year with the coat, I would happy to review it again.

    Questions and Answers

Q: Are there openings to accommodate male dogs and what are the dimensions?
    Asked by: baerunner - 10/30/2013
    A: Hello
The bottom of the dog is only covered to the end of the ribcage to accommodate male dogs.
They are not restricted in any way and can go to the bathroom unhindered.
    Thank you,

Q: Please let me know how I measure my dog to fit these. So need them she is arthritic but wants to be outside a lot. she's a collie/shepard so hope and pray you have some in stock? Thanks,
    Asked by: Sally - 11/25/2013
    A: Hi Sally
    The measurements needed are:
Back length, taken along the back from the withers base of neck where it attaches to the body, further back than the collar) to the base of the tail.
Chest circumference taken right behind the front legs where the chest is biggest.
Leg length taken on the inside down to the wrist.

Q: I"m looking for the warmest coat possible for my pointer/pit mix who has little fur and a bare belly. What do you suggest?
    Asked by:  - 11/19/2014
    A: Hi there
The Waterproof Fleece Overalls are great but not the warmest option. I would recommend a combination of for example the Winter Coat
    http://www.eurodogdesigns.com/Hurtta-Winter-Dog-Coat_p_33.html
    and the Equafleece Suit http://www.eurodogdesigns.com/Equafleece-Fleece-Dog-Suit_p_279.html
    That is a winning combination.
    Thank you,
    Katja

Q: Have you sold these to any Italian Greyhound owners? I ask as the breed is long with a deep barrel chest, tiny waist and long, stick think legs. What's your advice for sizing for this breed if you have experience with them. Thanks!
    Asked by: Tyler - 11/13/2013
    A: Hi Tyler
I have not sold any of these to Italian Greyhounds, so not sure how they fit on their shape.
Regarding size I would recommend size 14L.
    Thank you,
    Katja

Q: I have a 14 year old rottweiller mix who is already struggling with the weather in Chicago. She is about 50/55 pounds. Her hind legs and hips are arthritic. I think this fleece would be great, but I'm looking for something that she can wear indoors as well. Will this work? I want her hind legs and hips covered. If so, what size?
    Asked by: Carmen - 10/20/2013
    A: Hi Carmen
Please sen me your dogs measurements so I can see if we have a size she will fit into.
Alternative is the Microfleece Overalls which can be worn inside. They are not waterproof but can be combined with the Outdoor Overalls or Slush Combat Suit which are both waterproof.
    Thank you,
    Katja

Q: I am looking at the waterproof fleece for my pug but he is very cobby. He is 12" long: 15.5" neck: 21.5" chest:18" waist . I am looking at the 12M would this be correct?
    Asked by: shirley - 11/30/2013
    A: Hi Shirley
Based on your measurements size 12M would be too small in the chest as it's 1" smaller than your dog.
Size 12L would be more suitable as it would allow room to move.
The legs will probably be a bit long at 4" but you can always fold up the cuff which seems to work pretty well.
    Thank you,
    Katja

Q: I just purchased the ultimate winter coat in size 14. And it was perfect. So know I'm trying to order the micro fleece water proof and noticed it comes in size 14S 14m. Etc. so which one should I get?
Asked by: Chiara Rudzin - 12/2/2013
    A: Hi Chiara
Which size to pick depends on your dogs chest and leg measurement.
If you measure your dogs girth around the biggest part of the chest right behind the front legs, plus the inside of the front leg down to the wrist, I'll be able to advise whether to pick size 14M or 14L.
    Thank you,
    Katja

Q: I have a standard poodle. He's on the big and tall side. Here are his measurements: Back 25", Neck 18", Chest 35", Waist 26", Front leg 16", back leg I'm confused on how to do this measurement but from the top front of his leg where it meets his torso to the ankle he is 19". Will the Hurtta Waterproof Fleece Overalls, part number 930366 Size 28S fit him? If so, I would like to buy it. If not, what size micro fleece would you recommend? Thanks, Mark
    Asked by: Mark - 11/6/2013
    A: Hi Mark
The 28S will be too big for your boy.
I would recommend size 24M in the Microfleece Overalls.
    Thank you,
    Katja
