    Description

Great Cooling product from Hurtta. The Cooling Vest covers the torso of the dog and therefore cools down the chest area which is one of the vital places to cool the dog down when it's hot. Smart step-in design makes for easy on and off. A little button keeps the vest in place while zipping it up, so it stays in place and you can use two hands. Sizes XXS, XS and S have two small D-rings on each side of the zipper to attach your leash for walks. Make sure to attach the leash clip to both rings so the pressure is evenly distributed. The larger sizes do not have the leash attachment due to the weight of the bigger dogs. Comes in Peppermint (blue) and Blackberry (lilac) in size XXS - XXL. Click the following link for size chart:

Directions for use: Rinse the coat thoroughly in cold water. Wring carefully until the coat no longer drips. Put it on your dog. The coat works through the cooling effect caused by water evaporation. The duration of the cooling effect depends on air temperature, humidity and the size of the dog. PLEASE NOTE! A dog wearing a cooling coat should not be left alone in hot weather. The coats cooling effect reduces as the lining dries.

Doberman Mom Loves the Cooling Vest!
Rhett is a 41 chest and solid muscle. Most things that say they will fit a big dog don't fit him. He cannot stand the heat and I have bought and given away a ton of cooling vests/coats...until now. This fits great, works well and looks terrific!

Q: My pomeranian's chest measures exactly 15" - do you need to size up or down as with the Cooling Jacket? XS? Thanks!
    Asked by: chloe - 6/29/2015
    A: Hi Chloe
I would recommend size XS as XXS would be too small for your Pom.

Q: interested actually in the Hurtta cooling harness... but unable so far to find it in Canada....next best would be the cooling vest... my Boston has a neck of right on 13" and chest right on 17" looks like XS .. but i don't want it too right.. she gets uncomfortable even with a coat or a sweater on that is too snug... What would you recommend. the vest is the next best thing as i can attach the lease.. that is why i hoped for the cooling harness.. she walks better in a harness...no pressure on neck.. as she is a bit of a puller? Thanks.
    Asked by: Colleen - 4/21/2016
    A: Hi Colleen
The Cooling Harness is not readily available in North America but I will be carrying it in stock from beginning of May 2016.
In terms of size for the Cooling Vest, size XS would be perfect if you want a snug fit, but it sounds like your dog would be more comfortable with a loose fitting vest which would be size S.
The vest works best when it fits fairly snug.
    Thank you,
    Katja

Q: Hi, My dog has a 29.5-30 chest. What size would be best?
    Asked by: Kelsey - 7/29/2016
    A: Hi Kelsey
Your dog is right on the border of size L which is 29”.
The next size up is 34” so it would be very roomy.
As the chest isn’t adjustable it can be a bit tricky to fit some dogs.
You are welcome to try size L and see if it wouldn’t work and return it for a refund if it doesn’t.
    Thank you,
    Katja
