    Description

The Hurtta Breezy Pants are a hygiene pant for female dogs, designed for indoor use when a female dog is in heat. Breezy Pants are comfortable, fit well, and protect the home from stains that can occur when your dog is in heat. The pants are manufactured from flexible and soft materials that adjust well to the dog's body shape. Easy to use clip fastening and an adjustable, flexible waistline band ensures the pants stay firmly in place. Female dogs hygiene panes should be used with a disposable panty liner. Available in black in sizes XXS-XXL.

    Great quality, questionable fit
The breezy pants are very well made, and the cinch tab is very convenient, easy to use and stays put well. Our problem with the breezy pants was that they didn't fit our dog at all. She is a shepherd whippet mix, generally with a whippet body shape, but a bit bigger. The waist adjustment was very convenient because she has a very narrow waist, and we were able to get it snug. However, the opening for the tail was too short for her, and in order to get the pants up on her waist, we had to pull the pants all the way under her tail- causing her irritation. The fit on the legs was also off... there was a lot of excess fabric in the back, but the front of the legs were so tight they were restrictive and dug into her legs. 5 stars for quality, but 2 for fit (so giving a 3 average)- I think Hurtta should include in their description the body shape that they intend the pants to fit, as they aren't universal- which is what I thought when I bought them- and as I think most doggie diapers are.

    Questions and Answers

Q: Hi, I ordered the hurtta breezy pants for my bichon-shitzu hybrid in size XS. Her waist is 14", so there was no question about sizing based on the chart given, since she's right in the middle of the measurement range for that size. When I put it on her, the waist fits fine, but the leg openings are too small. They bind on the front of her legs. Is it worth trying a larger size? Or is the cut simply not going to work?

    A: Hi Johanna
Size S may work if you have more room to adjust in on size XS.
Otherwise I'll be getting a new model in mid September, Equafleece Dog Shorts with adjustable leg holes.
    Thank you,
    Katja

Q: Hi Katja, My girl is right at 20" should I do medium or large? She's 41 lbs and 6 years old - a standard poodle. Jan

    A: Hi Jan
As your girl is right at 20” I think I’d go with size M. You have an inch of extra room in those and I think size L will be too baggy as it would be at the tightest adjustment.
    Thank you,
    Katja
