    Amazing suit
This item right out of the box looked and felt like something you'd get at a specialty sports store - amazing quality, I think it's higher quality than some of my own clothes. Nice surprise is how easy the paw enters/slides in due to smooth lining. When we took it off the dog felt so warm all over. No more layering comfort sweater with slush suit when that freezing snowy weather comes.

After searching online for a few weeks, looking for some sort of winter jacket for my dog, I came across Euro Dog Designs. I was amazed at all they had to offer for dogs. I especially liked the look of the Dakota Snow Suit – an outfit which is exactly what I had been in search of but could never find elsewhere. Before ordering, my immediate concern was the build of my Lab/Pitbull mix, uncertain as to what size to order. My girl has an extra large breast bone that protrudes out further than normal, not fitting to her normal 35” chest/girth. Diana and Katja went well beyond the call of duty to help me size her properly and I am so grateful for their time, answering my millions of questions. Once they helped me determine a good size, I purchased the Dakota Snow Suit and a few other items. Today, my package arrived and everything is wonderful! The quality of this suit rises way above my expectation. It is high quality and beautifully made, sure to last many winters. Thank you again, Diana and Katja. Pup and I just love, love, LOVE her new Dakota Snow Suit and the other items. Everything is sized perfectly!

    Excellent Product
The Dakota Snowsuit is excellent. My dog loves wearing it and can now spend all day outside with me in the winter without getting cold. She can freely run and play without any movement limitations.

    Questions and Answers

Q: HI, I am looking for a jumpsuit for my Wheaten Terrier mix to protect his underbelly and legs when we go out playing in the snow as he gets covered in snowballs stuck to his fur and this looks like it would do the job nicely however I can't tell from the picture if there is a cut out area on the underbelly of the suit that would allow him to pee while wearing the jumpsuit?. Please advise. Also I am located in Montreal, Canada and would like to know where I could buy this product in Canada? Thank you for your help. All the best. Linda
    Asked by: Linda - 1/2/2016
    A: Hi Linda
This suit is only available from Euro Dog Designs so you would need to order it from me.
Yes, the suit is designed so the dogs can use the bathroom unhindered.
    Thank you,

Q: I'm looking for full coverage warmth like the snowsuit for my two pitbulls. But what is my best option for something that still gives them access to go to the bathroom without taking it off? And do you have any snowsuit type options with feet coverage?
    Asked by: Karen - 12/20/2015
    A: Hi Karen
The dog can use the bathroom unhindered while wearing the suit as its cut to accommodate this.
It is pretty much impossible to design a suit that has integrated boots as dogs have different length of leg and I think it wouldn't work in real life, though the idea is great.

Q: This suit without insulation would be perfect for my border collie.. Insulation on a border is enough and they will over heat in Washington state. I need this suit for Ziva for a rain suit when she goes to the barn and like to lay in the rain in the back yard... she is female and I wish someone would make a tail sock to keep there tails clean too. they get so wet and she gets hay allover her tail and brings it in the house.. Can you make this without the insulation and a tail sock that would snap on both sides of the rear end so that you can take it off when they come inside.. that would really be cool.. Let me know before I order anything Thank You Nancy Burrington Washington State... ?
Asked by: Nancy Burrington - 10/16/2016
    A: Hi Nancy
Sounds like what you need is the Slush Combat Suit.
It’s basically a rain coat with legs. It’s waterproof without providing any warmth and is made especially for hairy dogs that need to stay dry, clean and snowball free.
    Here’s the link:
In terms of the tail cover. It would be hard to make a cover that fits all dogs as the tail length and thickness varies a lot from breed to breed.
    Thank you,

Q: Can you use the snow suit with a harness or can you only use the suit with a collar? From the pictures I was not sure if there is an access point for the D-ring on a harness.
    Asked by: RICHARD - 12/8/2016
    A: Hi Richard
There is a leash opening on the back of the suit so you can attach a leash to a harness worn underneath.
    Thank you,

Q: I have a Westie and I'm not sure of what size to get. I watched the video on how to measure and her back is 14 - 16", neck 16", chest 21" and front legs 4" (measured inside to the ankle joint). She seems to be in between sizes. Any suggestions?
    Asked by: Leslie - 11/6/2016
    A: Hi Leslie
It will make a difference is the back length is 14" or 16".
You'll need either size 14L or 16M depending on the back length.
The legs will be a bit long, but you may be able to alter the cuff if needed.
    Thank you,

Q: Do you know how much it will cost for customs and duty to ship into Toronto, Canada? Or do you know how I might find out? Thanks so much!
    Asked by: alix - 11/22/2016
    A: Hi Alix
Thank you very much for your interest in the Dakota Snow Suit.
I find that it is mostly very large orders that will be caught in customs and have duty added to them.
I must admit I do not know what the fee is but I'm sure you can Google it.
    Thank you,

Q: I'm about to order three coats....two of my dogs have the same measurements, one is a Mudi, the other a small dalmatian. Measurements are Back 19", Chest 24, Neck 14, front leg 8". Would this be a size 20? My other dog is a small mudi- his back is 14", chest 21, Neck 13 and leg 6"....I'm confused on the size due to the front leg measurement. Is he a 14M? Thanks!
    Asked by: Leslie - 11/24/2016
    A: Hi Leslie
Based on your measurements I agree with the size20M for your bigger dogs but the small one needs size 14L due to the chest measurement.

Q: I just wanted to make sure this is the appropriate size for my dog. I just ordered a 22M - I have a Border Collie with a back measurement of 21-23, chest measurement of 28 (without adding a couple inches for breathing room, and a leg measurement of 8. Based on your video I assume the 22M should be the correct size?
    Asked by: TAYLOR - 11/25/2016
    A: Hi Taylor
Yes, I agree with size 22M for your Border. Leg might be slightly long but there is a long cuff on there so you should be able to fold it up.

Q: We're looking for a snow suit for our 6 pound Yorkie - we do a lot of hiking and she's great at keeping up with us but gets too cold in the rain/snow with just a regular dog coat. Would the size 12M of the Dakota be too big?
Asked by: Liz Sullivan - 12/29/2016
    A: Hi Liz
It depends on the measurements of your dog. Please measure as shown in the measuring video on the product page.
You are welcome to email them to me and I can recommend a size.
