    Description

Amazing 4 legged Fleece Suit for your dog. Perfect for layering underneath a winter coat when it's really cold, or to use on it's own when it's just a bit chilly. Also great for drying off when wet after bath or swimming, to use as jammies or to keep dogs from licking wounds and cuts. Made by the extremely popular British company Equafleece. Suitable for long time use due to the fact that it has no buckles, zipper, or velcro. Made from high quality, super soft, thick and lightweight Polartec® 200 fleece. Doesn't pill and keeps it's shape wash after wash. 100% water repellant, wicking, warm and machine washable. Available in Black, Red, Blue, Mulberry and Green in 7 sizes.

The Equafleece products are sized differently than Hurtta. Measure your dog from the breastbone in front, along the side to base of the tail, as shown in the diagram below. Measurement (a) is the main measurement and indicates the size. As a rule of thumb dogs are about the same measurement 'a' (length) as measurement 'c' (chest), so you'll just need to pick the size that corresponds with measurements 'a'.

Due to the turtle neck this product is not suitable for dogs with big head or thick/very hairy necks. I recommend the Hurtta Microfleece Jumpsuit instead.

I have these equafleeces, They are excellent value for money. Easy to get on/of the dog. Great in all winter weathers, they are water repellent, but I have found unless your dog goes swimming in them the inside stays dry even in the heaviest rain. I especially like them in the snow as it stops snowballs forming on my dogs legs/belly.

    We love this!
I have purchased several Hurrta products for my Yorkie and my dear friend's three Yorkies and one Coton de Tulear. Katja's customer service is exceptional, and I wouldn't consider purchasing anything she carries from anyone else. I fell in love with the Equafleece line, and it is more wonderful in person than the photos show. I will definitely be ordering more of them in the future. Katie is a size eleven in Hurrta, but she is a fourteen in Equafleece. Katie has a broad chest and has a more athletic build, and she looks adorable in it. It really protects her from getting wet and dirty, particularly since she has long hair much of the time. I highly recommend Katja and the excellent quality and function of the products she sells.

    truly excellent dog fleece
This fleece dog suit is pretty much perfect. It's made of the highest quality fleece that never pills. It's hefty enough that it's the only winter garment I need for our Bichon in southern New England. She very happily rolls in the snow with this thing on. And the fit is perfect! (She's 18 lbs, wears the 18"-20" jacket.) It's nice and trim, no baggy fabric or gapping anywhere. It's water repellent in drizzle and medium snow, though I haven't tried it in any heavier precipitation (I add a rain jacket layer). It would be nice if there were male/female options, because I wish it covered the bare part of her belly underneath, but she doesn't seem to mind. It's also super easy to put on and take off. I would say I would readily buy another one of these, but it's such nice quality I don't think I will need to for at least a few years!

    Perfect!
I looked forever to find a fleece that would cover my aging Standard Poodle's underside and keep her warm all around. This is it! The turtleneck is perfect for her long neck and the design holds warmth throughout her body. She wears it alone (inside the house, too), under a blanket coat or under her full body suit when the blizzards come. It is warm enough alone but I like the fact that I can use it to layer. She has had many compliments and this winter, everyone wished they had one, too. It is easy to get on and off (once I learned how), great fabric, easy wash, Katja was very helpful - it's just perfect! I couldn't be happier and I'm sure my dog is even happier than I. Thank you so much for offering it.

This fleece dog suit is the best one I've found! The design is very clever as there are no zippers to get warped during laundering. The fleece is soft and thick and still looks new after dozens of washes. My Saluki wears this in the house during the cold Chicago winter. It kept his belly warm as he galloped through over two feet of snow in the back yard. I highly recommend this particular product.

I absolutely love this fleece suit! I have a Boston Terrier with short hair so he gets cold very easily. He’s 20 pounds, but because he’s big chested I had to purchase a size 18”-20” suit. The chest fits him perfectly but the length is a bit long. I solved this issue by sewing the fabric under by his back end and now it fits him perfectly! The fleece suit is great for layering under a jacket in the winter and works well as pajamas when we are camping during the summer. My dog gets compliments every time he wears his suit and people are always asking me where I got his Equalfleece. Katja is very quick to respond to my various questions on product sizing. If you have a shot hair dog and live in a cold climate area like us, you have to buy this Equafleece suit! You won’t regret it!

    Long-Johns
My dog Beatrice, a Cavoodle, loves her Equafleece. It keeps her warm and snug and protects her coat from dirt and mud. It is easy to get on and off and usually I hand wash it and it dries overnight and is ready to wear the next day. The people that we regularly meet in the park call Bea's Equafleece, Bea's Long-Johns.

    Just extra protection
Bought this fleece coat to wear under the hurtta blanket. It's very cold here, quite often below -36 c and a wind chill. Molly, my cairn terrier wears the both of the jackets if we,re outside for long periods of time doing a winter sport. She's quite happy with jackets and not a big deal to put on.

    Excellent Dog Suit
I was specifically looking for a fleece suit for my dog that would cover him well including all four legs. The Equafleece suit is perfect because I use it by itself when it's cold and I add another coat over the fleece when it's brutally cold outside. My dog finally feels warm and enjoys his walks. This suit is perfect, easy to put on, easy to take off, easy to wash. It's an excellent dog suit. Also I received a very good and fast customer service when I wasn't sure of the suit size and I was helped in purchasing the correct size, which fits my dog perfectly.

    Questions and Answers

Q: I have a question on what sizes to choose for the Equafleece Dog Suit. When I look at the measuring chart sizes are listed as S, M, L and XL, but when I select size in the ordering page they are listed numerically. My one dog is a 95lb doberman his length is 28.5" and chest is 36". Should I go with size 28? The other dog is a 40lb terrier mix her length is 19" and chest is 26". Should I go with size 22 for her?
Asked by: Cathy Woodruff - 11/28/2014
    A: Hi Cathy
The S, M, L sizes are the Hotterdog Jumper/Sweater. All Equafleece products are sized in inches.
They are also measured differently than all the other products I have. You need to measure you dog from the breastbone in front, along the side to level with the tail.
I would expect your dog to be closer to 30"-32" measured like that.
Unfortunately I can only get the suit up to size 28", so we will not be able to fit your boy. You Terrier shouldn't be a problem. My guess is you will get 22" when you measure.
For your Dobie I would recommend the Hurtta Microfleece Jumpsuit which comes in big sizes. My guess is that he'll need size 28M. These are measured along the back from the withers (base of the neck further back than the collar) to the base of the tail.

Q: Hi Katja, I'm considering purchasing the Equafleece Dog Suit. My dog measures as follows: A 29.5"; B 16.5"; C 30"; D 22". I see that the largest available size is a 28". Do you think that will be large enough? If not, might you have an alternative dog suit to recommend? Thank you, Beverly
    Asked by:  - 12/17/2015
    A: Hi Beverly
You may be OK with size 28". My Dobie measures 28" and there is an inch of room at the tail. She also has a very large chest at 34" so that takes up some fabric as well.
Alternative is the Hurtta Microfleece Jumpsuit
    http://www.eurodogdesigns.com/Hurtta-Microfleece-OverallsJumpsuit_p_157.html
which comes in bigger sizes as well. You are welcome to try the 28" and return if it doesn't fit or you can try one of each fleece suit and see which one fits the best. I would recommend size 24M in the Microfleece Jumpsuit.
    Thank you,
    Katja

    Asked by: Amanda - 11/27/2016
    A: Hi Amanda
My girl wears size 28" and she weighs 65 lbs.
If your girl is much lighter I'd go with size 26" otherwise size 28".

Q: Hi Katja, I would like to purchase an Equafleece Fleece Dog suit, to layer under a size 14L Hurtta Outdoor Overall , for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is on the slim side. Would you recommend size 18-20 or do you think it will fit too loosely under the Hurtta OUtdoor Overalls size 14.? Charley wears: Hurtta Outdoor Overalls size 14 L (fits well, but wish it covered higher on the neck, good long leg length, good torso fit, plenty of room for a heavy sweater underneath) Charley wears: Hurtta raincoat size 16 (fits large with the belly band cinched the tightest possible, but happy that it generously covers his haunches and accommodates a heavy sweater underneath) Charley’s measurements: center sternum to base of tail 17” widest part of chest 17.5” withers to base of tail 15” weight 15 lbs Many thanks, Barbara
    Asked by: Barbara - 12/19/2014
    A: Hi Barbara
I would definitely recommend size 18"-20 which really is more 18" than 20".
I think it will fit very nicely underneath the Overalls and Rain Coat.
    Thank you,
    Katja

Asked by: Suzanne OBrien - 12/30/2014
    A: Hi Suzanne
No, that is too big of a dog to fit the largest size I have in the Equafleece Suit.
I recommend the Hurtta Microfleece Jumpsuit instead.

Q: what product would you recommend for my female Min Pin's very cold and hairless tummy? We already have a VERY warm jacket that does NOT cover her tummy.
    Asked by: jennifer - 1/14/2016
    A: Hi Jennifer
I think you will have a hard time finding something that covers your dogs belly between the back legs as dog clothes is designed so male dogs can pee unhindered.
Also fo the belly to be covered and the garment to fit property without hanging down between the legs it would have to go up between the hind legs and therefore cover where even female dogs go to the bathroom.
The only product I have that covers the belly are the Recovery Suits that are made to protect incisions after surgery.
The product I have that goes furthest back is the Equafleece Fleece Tankie if ordered in a size large enough to reach all the way back.

Q: I have a border collie that loves to hang in the yard when its wet... we bought her a rain coat, but she still gets wet... we have a barn and she is in and out too.. I am looking for a suit that is waterproof and will cover her legs and I wish someone would make a tail cover that would attach to the suit with buttons so you can take it on and off.. she get her tail so wet laying on the grass or covered in hay in the barn when wet and brings it in the house... what do you suggest.. she gets very hot so the heavier suit would be to hot for her.. I shave her belly short and her feathers on her lower legs short too so she doenst bring the hay in the house stuck to them, but I don't want to shave her tail.. I keep her butt feathers short too and cleaned up under her tail with the horse clippers.. what do you suggest?
Asked by: Nancy Burrington - 10/16/2016
    A: Hi Nancy
Sounds like what you need is the Slush Combat Suit.
It’s basically a rain coat with legs. It’s waterproof without providing any warmth and is made especially for hairy dogs that need to stay dry, clean and snowball free.
    Here’s the link:
    http://www.eurodogdesigns.com/Hurttaslushcombatsuit
In terms of the tail cover. It would be hard to make a cover that fits all dogs as the tail length and thickness varies a lot from breed to breed.
    Thank you,
    Katja

Q: My girl measures A 26.5, B 16.5, C 26, D 19. She will wear this in camp when we are backpacking and as pajamas in the tent. Should we size up so she can lie down and curl up comfortably?
    Asked by: Lk - 11/20/2016
    A: Hi Lk
Based on your measurements I would recommend size 26" for your girl. The suit is supposed to be snug and has give so I would not suggest a size bigger. They can still curl.
    Thank you,
